Smart Ratios
Using our vast teaching knowledge, our team has determined the optimal ratios of swimmers for each group based on age and skill level.
These low ratios promote confidence and independence in all swimmers, ensuring fast progression.
Here are the swimmer ratios:
Age 3 & 4 > Max 2 swimmers
Age 5 > Max 3 swimmers
Age 6-9 Beginner > Max 3 swimmers
Age 6-9 Intermediate > Max 3 swimmers
Age 6-9 Advanced > Max 4 swimmers
Swimmers Aged 3-5 years old
Age 3
Smart Ratios: Max 2 swimmers / group
Age 4
Smart Ratios: Max 2 swimmers / group
Age 5

Swimmers Aged 6-9 years old
Age 6-9 Beginner
Smart Ratio: Max 3 swimmers / group
Level: For swimmers who cannot swim on their own.
Age 6-9 Intermediate
Smart Ratio: Max 3 swimmers / group
Level Requirement: Can swim unassisted at least 1 width of the pool on both their front and back.
Basic understanding of front & back crawl movements.
Age 6-9 Advanced
Smart Ratio: Max 4 swimmers / group
Level Requirement: Can swim at least 4 lengths of the pool without assistance.
Can swim front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, and basic butterfly stroke.
Can tread water for a minimum of 2 minutes.
