Policies on cancellations, modifications and payment

Refund policy:

  • If a client wishes to cancel their lessons for the rest of the session, a full refund will be issued if a cancellation request is received by customer service at least 7 days before the first lesson. Otherwise, the client will be reimbursed for the # weeks remaining less a 10% or $50 cancellation fee (whichever is lower).
  • Refunds for credits must be requested within one calendar year from the date of payment. Refund requests for classes or other services must be reported and addressed at the time of the class or service. Any issues related to classes or services reported after the end of the session will not be eligible for a refund.

Policy for permanently changing your lesson time or cancelling the rest of your lessons:

  • All requests for swim lesson modifications or cancellations must be submitted via email to MIS Customer Service at info@swim-montreal.com. Notifying your instructor directly is not deemed sufficient notice. Additionally, all refund requests must be submitted by the client (the individual who made the payment for the class).

Individual Lesson Cancellation Policy or Missing a Lesson:

  • Should a client decide to cancel or miss a class or practice, no refund, credit, or make-up lesson will be provided. Please be advised that this lesson will be considered lost. It is good practice to advise your instructor in advance if you will miss a class.
  • In the event of an instructor cancellation, a replacement will be provided. In the event this is not possible, the instructor will take full responsibility for scheduling a make-up class with the client and the lesson must be made up
  • In the event of a pool closure, the lesson will be relocated to the nearest pool. In the event this is not possible, a credit will be issued for each cancelled lesson due to pool closure at the end of the session. The credit must be redeemed within 3 years of the initial book date. Clients will be notified of any changes, and it is recommended to always check your emails and messages before coming to your lessons.

Payment policy:

  • Payments can be made in instalments  (please contact customer service to set this up)
  • If mailing a cheque, please address to Institut de Natation de Montreal Inc and write the child’s full name on the cheque
