The combined bronze medallion and bronze cross course is the best way to quickly become certified as an assistant lifeguard and begin training as a swim instructor.
Becoming a lifeguard and swim instructor is one of the best and highest-paid jobs for students and teens.

This will be a condensed course offered through August. Expect roughly 10 hrs per week of class time.

Is this course for you? Here are the requirements:
Swimming Ability Requirements:
- MIS Advanced or higher
- Red Cross Junior 10 or higher
- YMCA Star 6 or higher
- Olympic Way Gold or higher
Minimum Age:
13 years old and up
Don’t know your level or don’t have one of these certificates? You should be able to swim at least 100 m (4 lengths of a 25 m pool) non-stop and have knowledge of the four strokes. (Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breaststroke, and Butterfly).
