Meet Our Amazing Instructors!

Abigail M is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2024, and has experience working with swimmers between the ages of 2 and 16. Abigail’s teaching style is kind yet firm, while still allowing the space for play! Outside of swimming, Abigail likes to play volleyball and go to the gym.

Adam D is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2005, and specializes in teaching Parent and Baby lessons and infant private lessons. Adam’s teaching style is fun and passionate, with a focus on helping young babies and toddlers develop their confidence in the water! Outside of swimming, Adam loves to train for HYROX competitions and spend time with his daughter.

Adam E is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2024, and loves working with children and teenagers of all levels. Adam’s teaching style is fun and inclusive, as he is able to adapt to all skill levels! Outside of swimming, Adam loves to study and hang out with his friends.

Adam H is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2024, and specializes in teaching Parent and Baby classes, as well as teaching young children in both private and group lessons. Adam’s teaching style is fun yet instructive with games that will have your kids not realizing just how much they’re learning! Outside of teaching, Adam swims competitively and likes to focus on his studies.

Adora B is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2023, and loves teaching young kids but is just as comfortable teaching teenagers and adults. Adora’s teaching style is effective and personalized to every swimmer! Outside of swimming, Adora studies education at university and babysits in her free time.

Adryan D-S is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2022, and has experience teaching children and adults of all levels. Adryan’s teaching style is effective and personalized to every swimmer! Outside of teaching, Adryan is completing his Bachelor’s and likes to cook in his free time.

Adyson F is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2023, and loves to work with children and teenagers. Adyson’s teaching style is collaborative and loves to make sure her swimmers love what they’re doing! Outside of teaching, Adyson also coaches swim team in the summer and loves to play sports of all kind.

Ahmed I is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2023, and has experience teaching swimmers of all ages and levels. Ahmed’s teaching style is based on reciprocal communication and ensuring the kids have fun while they learn! Outside of swimming, Ahmed is the captain of his school’s volleyball team and still manages to keep his studies a priority.

Ahmet S is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2023, and has experience teaching swimmers of all ages and levels. Ahmet’s teaching style is confident and enthusiastic! Outside of swimming, Ahmet studies at CEGEP and loves to listen to music.

Alexander C is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2021, and has experience teaching swimmers of all ages, but he specializes in teaching younger swimmers. Alexander’s lessons are instructive and fun, with a focus on skill development! Outside of swimming, Alexander is completing his degree in Software Engineering.

Alexander L is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2023, and has experience teaching swimmers of all levels and backgrounds, but he specializes in teaching advanced swimmers. Alexander’s lessons are analytical and technical, but still leaves room for fun! Outside of swimming, Alexander studies Computer Science at John Abbott.

Alexandru C is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2022, and has experience teaching swimmers of all ages and levels. Alexandru’s lessons are fun and creative yet challenging, all to ensure his swimmers’ progress! Outside of swimming, Alexandru is a CEGEP student and loves to go to the gym.

Alexia is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2022, and loves working with younger swimmers. Alexia’s lessons are instructive and creative! Outside of swimming, Alexia coaches swim team and studies at university.

Alice is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2025, and loves working with children and teenagers. Alice’s lessons are enthusiastic and stimulating, while still focused on consistent progression! Outside of swimming, Alice loves to study and spend time with friends.

Alina T is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2023, and specializes in teaching intermediate and advanced swimmers, but has just as much fun teaching beginners. Alina’s teaching style is dedicated, adaptable, and compassionate! Outside of teaching, Alina loves reading, writing, and having movie marathons with her friends.

Anushka C is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2023, and has experience with swimmers of all ages, as well as with special needs swimmers. As an instructor, Anushka is dedicated, patient, and passionate with all of her students! Outside of swimming, Anushka is committed to her studies and loves to spend time with her friends.

Outside of teaching, Armita is a CEGEP student and loves to spend time with her friends in her free time.

Athena is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2023, and specializes in teaching intermediate and advanced swimmers, but has just as much fun teaching beginners. Athena likes to focus on helping swimmers develop new skills and improve their confidence in the water! Outside of teaching, Athena plays volleyball and practices karate.

Aved is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2022, and loves teaching young kids and teenagers. Aved’s approach to teaching is based on passing on his own passion for swimming to his students but making every lesson fun yet focused! Outside of teaching, Aved studies engineering and loves to play sports.

Aymane is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2025, and has been teaching young children in both private and group lessons. Aymane’s approach to teaching is based on developing his swimmers’ potential and helping them discover new skills! Outside of teaching, Aymane loves to play soccer and spend time with family.

Aynaz is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2023, and loves working with kids as well as adults. Aynaz’s teaching style is focused on technique since she was a competitive swimmer for many years! Outside of teaching, Aynaz is a CEGEP student and loves to spend time with her family.

Belkasem is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2023, and has experience teaching swimmers of all ages. Belkasem’s teaching style is fun and energetic! Outside of teaching, Belkasem spends his time playing soccer and hanging out with his friends.

Brina is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2018, and is very experienced with swimmers of all levels, backgrounds, and abilities. Brina’s teaching style is engaging and educational! Brina is originally from Saskatchewan and is studying history and feminist studies at university!

Charlotte is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2024, and loves to teach young children and teenagers. Charlotte’s teaching style is focused on getting her students to love swimming just as much as she does! Outside of teaching, Charlotte loves to draw, cook, and play with her dog!

Connor is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2022, and has worked with swimmers of all ages and backgrounds, as well as with special needs swimmers. Connor’s teaching style emphasizes water safety, while making sure his lessons are enjoyable and informative! Outside of teaching, Connor is a student at John Abbott, and loves to ski in his free time. 

Drew is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2024, and specializes in teaching intermediate and advanced swimmers, but has just as much fun teaching beginners. Drew’s teaching style seeks to build confidence and refine technique, while creating.a supportive and fun environment! Outside of teaching, Drew spends his time playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.

Emilie’s teaching style optimizes progress while looking to make new and exciting memories for each of her swimmers! Outside of teaching, Emilie enjoys reading and playing with her dogs.

Emilie’s teaching style is catered to each swimmer’s needs focused on fun and safety! Outside of teaching, Emilie likes to sing, dance, and make art.

Georgia is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2021, and has taught swimmers of all ages and backgrounds. Georgia’s teaching style is challenging yet engaging! Outside of teaching, Georgia studies Music Education and plays the trumpet.

Gillian is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2024, and has taught young swimmers in both private and group lessons. Gillian’s teaching style focuses on fostering independence and confidence in the water! Outside of teaching, Gillian is studying to become a physiotherapist.

Ioulia is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2023, and specializes in teaching young kids, but has taught teenagers and adults as well. Ioulia’s teaching style is detail-oriented and focused on water safety! Outside of teaching, Ioulia is completing a degree in Child Studies and loves to spend time with her many siblings.

Jiha is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. They have been teaching since 2023, and have experience teaching swimmers of various levels and abilities. Jiha likes to focus on technique, given their background in competitive swimming, but they’re still able to foster a fun and playful learning environment! Outside of teaching, Jiha loves to read, write, and play guitar.

Kelly’s teaching style is passionate and educational, with a focus on advanced techniques! Outside of teaching, Kelly studies psychology and works as a Deck Supervisor on the weekends.

Lee-Anne’s teaching style is focused on bringing positivity and encouragement to each lesson, while developing each swimmer’s confidence! Outside of teaching, Lee-Anne studies at university and works as one of MIS’ Customer Support representative on weekends.

Lily’s teaching style focuses on improving her swimmers’ technique and endurance while creating a fun and encouraging learning environment! Outside of teaching, Lily likes to study and hang out with her friends.

Maryam is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2018, and has experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults of all backgrounds. Maryam’s teaching style is accommodating to every swimmer’s needs and focuses on creating and comfortable and supportive environment! Outside of teaching, Maryam swims competitively and is completing her PhD.

Maryloo is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. She has been teaching since 2023, and specializes in teaching young kids and toddlers. Maryloo’s teaching style is fun and supportive, with a focus on building up confidence in the water! Outside of teaching, Maryloo plays flag football and walking her dogs.

Mykyta’s teaching style is passionate and focused on swimmers discovering new talents and skills! Outside of teaching, Mykyta is completing his Master’s.

Nicole’s teaching style is fun and focused on developing a swimmer’s technique and endurance! Outside of teaching, Nathan likes to spend time with his frends and play with his brother.

Rio is a swim instructor with a National Lifeguard certification. He has been teaching since 2017, and has taught swimmers of all ages and abilities, but specializes in teaching adults. Rio’s teaching style is focused on developing technique and confidence in the water! Outside of teaching, Rio also hires and trains new MIS instructors and is completing his Masters in Literature.
