Hi! My name is Adam D, I am the President & Founder of MIS.
My love for swimming started at a very young age .. we grew up with a pool at home and my siblings and I were always in the water. As of 9 years old every summer we were involved in the summer pool scene and this is where my passion for swimming really grew. From swim lessons to swim team water polo leadership events .. working at a pool was all I ever wanted. Since 16 I have never stopped teaching swim lessons .. and the sport swimming has taught me so much about passion positivity and hard work.
Founding the MIS has always been my greatest accomplishment and my greatest learning experience. I am grateful to be surrounded by an amazing team of instructors coaches lifeguards and teachers. I have grown as a person for the better thanks to the sport of swimming and its great community.
The most important thing to me is family and friends and keeping them as close as possible. On my off days you can find me spending time with my family and friends and being active.

Hi  I’m Abby M! I have always loved working with children and am super excited to start teaching! I did MIS as a kid and it helped me turn into the independent  confident swimmer that I am today. I hope to be able to turn your little ones into that as well while still enjoying ourselves! In my free time  I enjoy spending time with my friends  recreational swimming  playing volleyball  and going to the gym. Hope to see you in the pool 🙂

Hello everyone, my name is Adam E :)! I am a young swimmer who has had swimming in his heart since I was very young. In fact, I have been taking swimming lessons since I was 6 years old and I swim regularly today. It was a great experience and I hope to be able to pass on the same things to everyone. The stroke I am most familiar with is breaststroke but I will try to teach you the strokes regardless of your strengths and weaknesses. I look forward to seeing you at the pool!

Hi  I’m Adrien  and I’ve been a swimming instructor for a few months now. Since I was little  I’ve been immersed in the aquatic world through swimming lessons  which have had a big impact on me. Wanting to give back and make these meaningful experiences just as valuable for others  I decided to train as an instructor.

What I love most about my job is seeing young swimmers progress lesson after lesson  giving them advice and exercises  and helping them gain more and more confidence in themselves. I’ve been there too  and I try to apply as many strategies as possible that helped me become a better swimmer myself 😉

I’ve been swimming since I was six years old and have spent several years as part of a competitive swim team  where I developed strong technique  endurance  and a deep appreciation for the sport. I’m currently a student at Dawson College studying Health Science  and I have a passion for fitness  spending time at the gym  and training in martial arts. Hi, I’m Ammita! Learning to swim is never the same path for each and every person. I started my classes much later than most but that only pushed me to try harder. My swimming instructors made sure I always gave it my all every class and that has stuck with me all this time. I hope to become just as great of a role model to my future students and make the most out of their classes. This is my first year teaching classes but I’ve previously worked in a summer camp with kids.

When I’m not teaching and spending time at the pool  I’m either studying at university or hiking in the mountains with some friends. Whether it’s teaching a child how to float like a big star for the first time or helping an advanced swimmer fine-tune their strokes  I aim to make each lesson both enjoyable and educational. Hello my name is Andrea! I have been teaching swimming lessons for the past few years in Saskatchewan and I am new to Montreal! I have always enjoyed the water ever since a young age  especially playing games in the pool and doing lots of underwater exploration! My teaching method includes lots of encouragement  practice and focus to try and and achieve the best results while also having a great time. I work mainly in English  but I am also fluent and comfortable in French for any swimmers that would prefer either of the languages. I really enjoy sports and if I’m not swimming I am usually either playing volleyball or practicing karate. Hi! My name is Liam L. I’m a competitive swimmer turned instructor and lifeguard who has been swimming since I was 4. I’ve taught at summer camps pools and lakes. I am part of a surf rescue team in North Carolina on the Outer Banks and I love surfing swimming and basking in the sun. Since I got my first lifeguard certification at 13 years old it has become such a memorable part of my life. The water has and will always take up such a important part of my life since I grew up spending my summers by the lake at my cottage.

I started swimming when I was two years old. I started doing swim lessons with MIS when I was 4 and stayed with that same instructor for 10 years. Now I’m a swim instructor and still carry that same lovely passion and respect for the water.

I love interacting with kids and have worked at previous pools/daycamps such as redwood day camp. I started swimming when I was around 4 years old and was put into lessons just like this.
