About Us
The Montreal Institute of Swimming is a rapidly growing Small Canadian Business. Since 2005, the M.I.S
has built its business around our flexible, accommodating service, experts swimming instructors and
great customer service.
Our goal is to provide the most personalized service with the most flexible scheduling options to all of
our clients and ensure that our students benefit from continuous, progressive development session
after session.
Once our students complete our lesson program, the M.I.S Swim Team is designed to focus on stroke
perfection, endurance, and speed. This unique and customized service allows clients participate in
the challenging programs offered by swim team without an annual commitment. For people who
cannot attend all the weekly practices, our clients can choose how many practices will work for you.
Competitions are optional allowing non-competitive swimmers to be active members of our team and
take part in all practices and events.
In order to further accommodate our clients, during the summer months, the M.I.S provides Backyard
Swimming Lessons in the comfort and convenience of your own home. We can teach your neighbours,
friends and family all at the same time.
The M.I.S is dedicating to promoting and encouraging healthy active living. Our staff, clients, friends and
families join us in sporting events all over the island of Montreal. This M.I.S team joins Marathons and
Triathlons such as Le Coupe Dix 30, Esprit Triathlon, Oasis Marathon, Valleyfield Traithlon and more.
The Northshore Aquatic Association is a community based program that involves 18 outdoor pools in
the West Island and Montreal and compete in Swimming, Synchronized swimming, Waterpolo and
Diving. This large and dedicated community provides a place for children to grow up and live active
healthy lifestyle through aquatic activities and build long lasting relationships with their peers in the
community. As the communities official sponsor, the Montreal Institute of Swimming provides NAA staff
clinics in swimming lesson instruction and offers scholarship programs to members of this community to
participate in the M.I.S Swim Team. You can also find our staff and members at NAA Swim Meets, face
painting and promoting NAA programs and encouraging families to be more active in aquatic sport.
The M.I.S team is a group of passionate, hard working young adults who believe that active living is an
important part of everyone’s daily life. We are excited to meet new people and get involved in any new
activities that can benefit the Montreal community.
